Psychiatry—Labeling Kids with Bogus ‘Mental Disorders’

20 Million Kids & Adolescents are labeled with “mental disorders” that are based solely on a checklist of behaviors. There are no brain scans, x-rays, genetic or blood tests that can prove they are “mentally ill”, yet these children are stigmatized for life with psychiatric disorders, and prescribed dangerous, life-threatening psychiatric drugs. Child drugging is a $4.8 billion-a-year industry. Get the facts about this multi-billion dollar industry that is labeling and drugging kids for profit.

Dr. Thomas Szasz is Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus at the State University of New York Health Science Center, Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute and a Lifetime Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is perhaps the world’s leading social critic of the moral and scientific foundations of psychiatry, having authored more than 35 books on the subject, starting with The Myth of Mental Illness, a book which rocked the world of psychiatry upon its release more than 50 years ago.

Dr. Niall McLaren

What’s Wrong with Psychiatry? A Psychiatrist Explains…

Dr. Niall McLaren, a practicing psychiatrist for 22 years, explains what is wrong with the psychiatric profession: That this is an industry which cannot take criticism, for fear the entire model of biological psychiatry will unravel. That there is no science to psychiatric diagnoses, no brain based diseases. And that psychiatry only pushes mental disorders as biological disease in order to convince people to take psychiatric drugs, causing a host of dangerous side effects.

Green Mental Health: An Alternative to Toxic Psychiatric Drugs

Psychiatry’s solution to life’s problems is the administration of mind-altering toxic drugs which according to the FDA can cause mania, worsening depression, anxiety, delusions, seizures, liver failure, suicide, mania, heart attack, stroke, fatal blood clots, sudden death, diabetes and much more. Green Mental Health Care is a non-toxic, non-additive and non-invasive approach to mental health which focuses on workable medical, not psychiatric, solutions that have better patient outcomes and are not harmful or toxic to those seeking help…

ADHD—The Challenge
Get the facts – http://www.cchrint.org/psychiatric-disorders/ 20 million kids have been labeled mentally ill and drugged for mental “disorders” that are simply based on checklists of behaviors. Get the facts, not the marketing campaigns http://www.cchrint.org/psychiatric-disorders/

Big Pharma—Define ‘Better’
Featuring Chill EB – Psycho/pharma spends billions of dollars a year marketing mental ‘disorders’ & drugs for kids — yet these drugs are documented by international drug regulatory agencies to cause mania, psychosis, hallucinations, suicide, violence, homicidal ideation, heart attack, stroke and death. What’s more, they are being prescribed for psychiatric disorders that are simply a checklist of behaviors.

ADHD—Labeling normal kids “mentally ill”
ADHD is a bogus mental “disorder” based off a checklist of behaviors. There are no medical tests to prove any child has ADHD, yet more than 4.5 million kids have been diagnosed and put on drugs such as Ritalin, Adderall and Concerta, which the U.S. DEA places in the same highly addictive category of drugs as cocaine, morphine and opium. The “checklist” for ADHD could fit any normal child and literally includes such ridiculous criteria as

“loses pencils or toys”
“often does not seem to listen”
“is easily distracted by extraneous stimuli” (what kid isn’t?)
“fidgets”
” runs about or climbs excessively in situations when it is not appropriate” (we are talking about KIDS here… right?)

To summarize; there are no blood tests, brain scans, chemical imbalance tests, X-rays or “genetic” factors to prove any child has a mental “illness” called ADHD. This is simply a list of child-like behaviors that psychiatrists clustered together, repackaged as a mental disorder and the result is a multi billion dollar empire — the child labeling and drugging industry.

The President of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), psychiatrist Nada Stotland, obviously needs a bit of a lesson on the difference between a disease and a “mental disorder,” given her recent comments. The DSM: Inventing Mental Illness

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is made up, it is fiction, it is fabricated by psychiatrists. Members of a panel vote on what goes into it, then they immediately start calling them “diseases”. This is fraud.

Few people aren’t affected in some way by psychiatric drugs in society—be it a family member, friend or co-worker, or just from the news of another act of violence tied to psychiatric drugs. Find out more about psychiatric drugs in the videos below.

Prescription for Violence

Read the warnings/studies on psychiatric drugs and violence here or visit CCHR’s psychiatric drug search engine here to see all international drug regulatory warnings, studies and adverse reaction reports filed with the US FDA (from 2004-2001), There have been 22 international drug regulatory warnings issued on psychiatric drugs causing violence, mania, hostility, aggression, psychosis, and other violent type reactions. These warnings have been issued in the United States, European Union, Japan, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. By the FDA’s own admission, only 1 to 10% of side effects are ever reported to them, so the actual number of adverse reactions is substantially higher than what is contained within these reports.

Psychiatric Drugs—Search Warnings, Studies, & Side Effects

Click here to visit the psychiatric drug search engine provided as a free public service by CCHR International, which contains a full list of international drug regulatory warnings & studies issued on psychiatric drugs, along with all adverse reaction reports on psychiatric drugs which have been filed with the US FDA from 2004 – 2011 by doctors, pharmacists, other healthcare providers, consumers and attorneys. All of this information has been compiled into one easy to search online search engine by the staff of CCHR International in order to provide the public at large with the facts about psychiatric drug dangers. By the FDA’s own admission, only 1 — 10% of drug side effects are ever reported to the FDA so the numbers contained in this database are much lower than what is actually occurring out in the consumer market. As psychiatric drugs are approved solely on short clinical trials (4-6 weeks), with virtually no long term studies once they are released for mass consumption into the consumer market – the Medwatch reports represent the only real post market surveillance of these drugs. This search engine essentially comprises all known, documented risks of psychiatric drugs. It does not contain opinion, just documented studies, warnings and post market data.

Psychiatric Abuse of the Elderly

Psychiatry and those who follow their practices (drugs, restraints, electroshock) have no reverence or respect for the elderly, and employ dangerous drugs and ‘treatments’ as a method of control and keeping them quiet. They will happily supply endless prescriptions of psychoactive drugs or ECT. In just a six-month time period in 2007, Medicare received $309 million in claims for antipsychotics for elderly in nursing homes. Daniel R. Levinson, Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Health and Human Services, stated recently, “Despite the fact that it is potentially lethal to prescribe antipsychotics to patients with dementia, there’s ample evidence that some drug companies aggressively marketed their products towards such populations, putting profits before safety…. Government, taxpayers, nursing home residents, as well as their families and caregivers should be outraged — and seek solutions.”

Electroshock — It’s Not Treatment, It’s Torture

Electroshock, renamed electroconvulsive therapy or ECT is not only still being given to hundreds of thousands per year, but frequently without their consent. Documented effects of electroshock include short and long term memory loss, brain seizures, life-threatening cardiovascular events and death. Psychiatrists admit they don’t know how ECT “works” but that doesn’t stop them from administering it to hundreds of thousands of people per year, including the elderly, children and pregnant women. Recently, press have reported that ECT is making a “comeback” but what most don’t realize, is that electroshock (ECT) never went away.

  1. Virtually every great Scientist, Philosopher, Composer, Inventor, World Leader…throughout history would have been labeled,( with multiple labels) were they alive today going through our school system. As a Educator and Lecturer, I find it sad indeed seeing beautiful inquisitive and rebellious minds being “medicated” to the point that we are creating classrooms filled with “modified students”
absorbing and spewing out information according to a “designed model”
of what an “typical” student should be.

CCHR are an incredible group of people, not only in the USA but around the world. The work they are doing re psychotropic medications being used on children is incredible and gives so many children and parents hope. Lets all pray that one day their work will result in the stopping of our kids being used for profits by the big pharma companies who are peddling their life destroying drugs to children.

  4. Anton says:

God gave John clear warning of this in Revelation 18:23

“And never again shall the light of a lamp shine in you, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall never be heard in you again; for your businessmen were the great and prominent men of the earth, and by your magic spells and poisonous charm all nations were led astray (seduced and deluded).” Revelation of John 18:23 – The Amplified Bible

The Greek word translated “magic spells and poisonous charm” is ‘Pharmakia’. Doesn’t the sound familiar? Yes it’s the same Greek word where we get Pharmaceutical and Medicine.

  5. Did you know we have all got O.C.D, yes you did read that correctly. How many of you have to answer your phone when it rings and what happens when you try not to or can’t answer it? You get frustrated and the urge to answer it increases until eventually you answer it.The part of the mind that deals with behaviour and urges (subconscious mind)does not know the difference between a useful habit and a not so useful habit. So answering the phone all day is treated the same as the urge to wash your hands for example all the time. Sub conscious mind treats all habits the same (good and bad)because it has no intelligence and cannot see that one upsets you and one is helping you. I don’t call O.C.D a disorder, I call it in order because it’s very in order and there is nothing disordered about it. I don’t know if I’m allowed to promote myself through this site but I close down these nuisance behaviours on a daily basis and if you’ve been told your mentally ill or have O.C.D it’s no big deal to get rid of.

    Many thanks Michael.

  6. Andy says:

Praise God for the good work you do, thank-you!
