Hi Hayley,
As a man in the United Kingdom I can only say that boys behaviour in my country is now seen by the feminist teaching establishment as being delinquent, male teachers understand the boys need for time to burn off energy and to make lessons exciting, boys do not or cannot sit still for long periods of time, unlike girls who just want to please the teacher! This female teachers desire to change natural boys and young mens behaviour is nothing short of criminal, do whatever it takes to defend your son and enlist whatever help you can in defending him. When I was going through school in the seventies we had ample male teachers who knew how to get rid of that excess energy via games periods and playtimes where boys were allowed to burn energy and if the girls got in the way then tough, they could always join in but never did.
Kind Regards,
Chris Prior
I believe that using an ADHD drug should not be taken lightly due to its side effects. They should be used in particular cases, but some doctors are prescribing them without need.
I hope it went alright with your son Haley and that he didn’t have to have any tests. He seems like a normal active child from your description. No false diagnosis or drugs will help him but only do harm.
Sincerely
Johnny
I would not sign those papers either. Search for Dr. Peter Breggin online, he is a psychiatrist that coherently explains situations exactly like the one you are going thru. He does not prescribe drugs for obvious reasons.
What 5 year old child says that he prefers to sit and learn than to play with his friends? My God.
Hi Haley,
I would not sign those papers.
Your son is 5 years old.
I’d find it strange if he wouldn’t like to play better than to learn in school. Especially when the teacher has that attitude.
perhaps your son should have a better teacher?
My son is 5 years old and is full of life! He is in Kindergarten and his teacher after 2 months in wants to have him tested by rehabilitation services here in Alberta Canada. I am sickened by it and feel that it’s a teacher’s excuse that she can’t teach him. He has improved a great deal since starting the class with writing and recognizing words. Sometimes he puts the effort into his cutting skills and sometimes he doesn’t. He’s more into playing then learning and he has told me that learning is boring, he’d rather play. I’m sorry but that describes many men I have known my whole life! They like to live, my son is very smart and observant, but he has an opinion which he expresses freely and sometimes loudly. I can already see that she just doesn’t want to deal with my child. I don’t even want to allow the tests to be done. I already know they will more than likely diagnose him with a disease that does not exist. So what do you recommend me to do when I meet with her on this issue this Friday? I am studying as much as I can on the issue for the well being of my wonderful son. This teacher has only known my child for 2 months and put this paperwork into his back pack stating that I had to sign it so they can test him. She has never taught kindergarten before and was forced into it as she says. I have had to report this teacher already for unprofessional behavior and I feel she has no right to my personal information. Oh there is so much more I could write but this is a start, thank-you for this website! My son’s response to school is sometimes: I’m a failure, learning is boring, this is not a safe place and I hate it here. Other times he says it’s great and he loves his new buddies. I am so frustrated Thank-you for taking the time to read!
Sincerely,
Haley Wood
